What does the bell mean?
What does a bell mean to you? To some, it might bring thoughts of church or the Liberty Bell or school bells. To some, it might bring to mind the quote from the film It's a Wonderful Life, "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets
his wings". At Second Chance, it means that someone has obtained a job. Graduates who have secured employment come back to the agency and ring a big brass ship's bell on the wall. The graduate then tells the class in session and the entire
staff about the new job, and offers words of advice and encouragement to the current class. For us at Second Chance, a bell means "another client on the road to success."
