The staff of Second Chance wishes you a happy, prosperous and joyful new year!
On January
4, 2010, Second Chance kicked off the new year with STRIVE class #139. More than
50 individuals started the year determined to find a job with Second Chance's
help. This is the first class to experience our new four-week curriculum. In
addition to creating resumes and practicing interview skills, this class will
receive instruction on basic computer use, Internet searches and email as well
as Microsoft Word and Excel. The class will also include an introduction to financial literacy and a discussion of gender-specific workplace issues. At graduation, these participants should be more
ready than ever to get and keep a job!
