On Saturday, September 6, 2008 Second Chance will celebrate 15 years of success at our third annual fall gala. We will share stories of graduates who have turned their lives around and broken the cycle of poverty and despair.
In 1993, Second Chance began providing assistance to at-risk men, women, and youth in San Diego. In 1998, Second Chance brought the nationally recognized STRIVE (Successful Training Results in Valuable Employees) program to San Diego from Harlem, New York. In 2003, Second Chance launched the highly acclaimed Prisoner Reentry Employment Program (PREP). Over 3,000 individuals have graduated from STRIVE/PREP San Diego, transforming their lives, reuniting families and becoming productive employees for San Diego businesses. This is just one of the noteworthy and heartwarming successes of what this organization stands behind.
We are asking for your support to help an organization that strengthens communities and changes lives. Join us Celebrating 15 Years of Success as we by honor past and present graduates.
