3rd annual donor appreciation reception
On October 17th we held our annual Donor Appreciation Reception at Mitchell International. You, our donors, are our partners in the many successes we experience every year. One of the many ways we celebrate and say thank you is to bring together staff, board and you, our donors, at our Donor Appreciation Reception. Sponsored by our friends at Sycuan, the evening included a Q & A panel with Job Readiness Training graduates, live music by Andrew P., a graduate of class 217, and a State Resolution from Assemblymember Shirley Weber to recognize 25 years of service.
Thank you to our friends at Sycuan for catering the event!
A day INSIDE las colinas detention and reentry facility
Special thanks to San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore for granting Second Chance the opportunity to venture behind the walls of the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility on Saturday, September 15. Key supporters experienced a day in the life of an incarcerated woman and learned firsthand how Second Chance, in partnership with the Sheriff’s Department, provides innovative reentry programs that help put women on the path to self-sufficiency.
Second Chance staff and board members toured the facility with community stakeholders and donors.
Special thanks to our event sponsors, The San Diego Foundation and the Barona Band of Mission Indians.
